I've seen Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan on other lists before! Girls of Paper and Fire is a lot darker than Kpop Demon Hunters, but the line "So we're not heroes, we're still survivors" matched pretty well with my interpretation of the book's vibes.

how about Shine and Bright which were authored by ex k-pop legend Jessica Jung? it's missing the fantasy element but reads like a k-drama centered on the k-pop world
also i've not read it yet but maybe Song of Silver, Flame Like Night by Amélie Wen Zhao matches the vibe?

okay LOVE THIS. my daughter has made me watch this movie 4 TIMES in 24 hours and i’m not gonna lie… it’s a pretty good movie I will be taking book recs from this🤣
The movie is pretty great! I like that I sometimes here the soundtrack when I go into public spaces.
