books that started as nosleep threads or are by nosleep authors, for those of us who read borrasca as a teenager and didn’t sleep for a week.

What would you recommend for starters who haven't tried this genre? 😅
penpal and we used to live here! they’re very classic nosleep style of eerie creeping dread imo!
thanks! i'll check them out 💕
OHHH this is so great!!! signed, a person who was obsessed with r/nosleep
I used to lurk on r/nosleep before bed (for whatever reason) and was always surprised when I couldn’t fall asleep after 😂 this list brings me back wow
LMAO i used to do the same 😭😭😭
Awesome list! Tales from the Gas Station by Jack Townsend would be a great addition to this list.
added!!
I just thought of one more, Search and Rescue Woods by Kerry Hammond. ☺️ I didn’t know about a lot of these I’m definitely saving this list to come back to later.
how could i have forgotten that CLASSIC
You just unlocked a core memory with that one omg
Hell yeah!! I know what I'll be doing during my holiday break!

i've been dipping my toe into scary this year, but i think this list might be what makes me jump off into the deep end 😅
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
The pictures on the covers of these books are enough to creep me out. I have to be a much braver person to read most of these. (But I want to anyway)!
you should try one!! a lot of them are more creeping dread/eerie than jumpscare-y!
Unread we used to live here earlier this year, without knowing it's origin. I really liked it! Maybe I'll try another one or two!
