Post from the Blood of Hercules (Villains of Lore, #1) forum
This book is a wild show, okay. There are aspects of this book I kind of hate? But there are also parts in this book where I genuinely laughed out loud. I also HATE these men but I'm also kinda interested? I feel so many different feelings and I don't know how I should feel. I guess many things can be true at once.

I think this is my least favorite of the bunch but honestly that doesn't mean much. It was like a soap opera on crack lol. I enjoyed it but it wasn't outstanding.

So, I had every intention of finishing this book, but I really feel like it could have been half the length and done exactly what the author wanted. I enjoyed aspects of this book, but it was too cozy and too "everything is coming up roses" for me to enjoy. Like, the main character has all the aspects of a traditional romantasy (everyone likes her and shit always goes her way) but without the action and spice of a romantasy. Does that make any sense?
I'm sure that there are people who LOVE this book. I didn't hate it, either. But I also didn't finish the book.

I really enjoyed this book. I also really enjoyed Bride. I would really like for Hazelwood to write more in this series because I liked them. I have no clue if she ever will, but I can only hope that she might.

I see people rave about this book and at first I didn't believe the hype and then I read it for myself. I really liked this book. I need to read the sequel and I'm not sure how I can make time move faster so I can.
Male longing? Yes. Gothic imagery? Yes. Monsters? Yes. Power imbalance? Yes.
I now need to read everything else this author has produced.

Over all, I enjoyed this book. There were some formatting errors that did jump out at me, but lets be real, publishing a book is very hard. It's difficult to find everything that needs to be fixed.
This book was good, I liked the FMC and the MMC (though I feel like I needed more information about him). I was also very intrigued about the world that the authors were creating. I would love to read a book about Rhys! However, I do feel like pacing was a little difficult to handle. It goes by really quickly for the first 2/3rds but then slows down near the end.
With all that being said, though, I did eat this book up in only a few days.
Do you want a Christmas themed dark romance? Then you would probably enjoy this book!

Okay, so I loved this book. I am so mad that the next installment isn't out yet. I love the characters and I hate some characters. I have so many...I don't know, quibbles I guess, but also I feel like they make me like the story more. I adore the women in this book as much as I adore the love interest.
I really hope the next book comes out soon.

This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it! I called the twist early on, but it was still a good read. I enjoyed my time with the characters and I liked the growth. I have my hands on the second book and I am excited to get to it!
