holy fuck. this book was insane - i wasn’t sure how i felt at the beginning but that was mostly because i was a bit lost trying to follow what was happening. once i got into the swing of things it was amazing ! the wtiting style was gorgeous, so lyrical which i absolutely love in a story, the worldbuilding so intense i wish we had more story to appreciate it. i felt it was over before i even got to enjoy the idea of this time war, what the Garden truly is and how it all works. i’m still so impressed that they were able to fit such a huge and intricate world into a short story, which can often be too abstract and confusing but they pulled it off really well. and of course, the most important part, the relationship between the two main characters. the way that they’re intertwined, yearning across literal time and space, was insane to read and so beautiful. i’m so happy i picked this book up - i’m going to be thinking about it for a long time

the writing style is so interesting - i’m loving the deep worldbuilding without revealing much to the reader its a little hard to follow but it keeps me enraptured as i try and unweave the mystery
