Julia Sooy at Holt/Godwin has bought Blood: Not Just a Vampire Drink by Stacy McAnulty (Earth! My First 4.54 Billion Years), illustrated by Shawna J.C. Tenney. The nonfiction picture book is an introduction to the important role of blood in the human body, as told by a vegan vampire. Publication is planned for spring 2022; Lori Kilkelly at LK Literary represented both the author and the illustrator in the deal for world rights.
