Suja Sukumar is the author of WHEN MIMI WENT MISSING, a diverse YA thriller to be published on November 19, 2024 by Soho Press. A member of SCBWI, Crime Writers of Color, Sisters in Crime, and International Thriller Writers, she writes YA fiction featuring Indian-American protagonists. She loves hanging out in coffee shops and South Asian restaurants, drawing inspiration from naan and malai kofta, masala chai and lassi. She is a senior staff physician at a health system in suburban Detroit, where she lives with her husband, two wonderful, beautiful kids, and an elderly cat.
