I just finished my re-read of this book, because it's been a while and I couldn't remember lots of details about the story and the plotline. It deserves the 5-star rating I gave it when I first added here on Goodreads. It is a solid novel, with a good plot, engaging characters and the same Christie twist that gets us in the end, but it pleased me to see that it didn't rely on the main detectives to keep it going or interesting. Dame Agatha got me involved and engrossed as much as in her other more famous books, with Poirot only showing up at about 3/4 of the book - I believe in the last 80 pages or so. So, it shows that her writing is amazing and her novels entertaining with or without her most favorite characters in it, which I love. I have yet to read an Agatha Christie book that I disliked or gave it a low rating.
My favorite author, all the way.
