Happy Holidays! With KING BULLET coming out last August, I thought that I’d wrapped things up with James Stark. It was strange to end the series, but I was looking forward to new work in new places. It’s been a tough year for a lot of us, but I didn’t want to close it out on a down note—and I guess I wasn’t as through with Stark as I thought because he kicked his way into my brain and told me a story, and now I’m telling it to you. It takes place long before KING BULLET, but I won’t say exactly when because it doesn’t matter. I’ll just say it’s from earlier in the series when Stark and Candy were in love and things were simpler than they were at the end. Here’s to a happier and healthier 2022!
