As a fan of arranged marriage stories, this one really hit the mark for me. I especially appreciated the complex dynamic between Saverio and Lucia. Their history rivalry due to their families' positions within the mafia, added so much depth to their relationship. I loved seeing Lucia's fierce independence and how she navigated her feelings for Saverio. The fast-paced plot kept me guessing with unexpected twists, and I couldn't put the book down. I also thought the Cora did a great job of creating a real sense of intimacy between the characters; I felt like I was right there with them. The chemistry was undeniable, and while there was some great spice, I was equally invested in the mystery and suspense.
