Never trust a man who answers the door wearing nothing more than a pair of low-cut jeans and a panty-melting smirk. That should've been my first sign. I write about guys like him for a living — sexy and charming, yet reluctant to get into a serious relationship. His body screams sex appeal, but his condescending personality makes him a classic f*ckboy. And I want nothing to do with that. Writing romance novels comes with its perks — traveling, meeting new people, creating characters from the voices in my head — but Ethan Rochester enters my life and rearranges my preconceived notions about writing what inspires you. Meeting him was fate, but falling for him was inevitable. And forgetting him will be impossible. **This is a complete STANDALONE novel — filled with plenty of humor, steam, & romance! 18 & up only due to explicit sexual content, language, and adult content. Previously published as My Week with the Bad Boy by Brooke Cumberland & Lyra Parish.**

I’m still torn on how I feel about this one. Maybe I went into this with the wrong intentions. I thought it was going to be a short quick and sexy romance. However, this story packed a more serious note with characters back stories. If I knew what was all in this one, I would have passed. I really don’t like reading about where the love interest has a dead wife or family.
I can’t tell you that I like either Vada or Ethan. Neither one of the really resonated with me. Did they have physical chemistry further down in the book? Yes. However, that’s not enough for me.
The biggest problem I had was that these two spent a week together basically having sex and I’m supposed to believe that that connection was love. Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve read books like that and loved them, HOWEVER, they were pitched as being over the top or insta love. It could have maybe been believable if there wasn’t such a heavy backstory plot here. The relationship between these two was insta-lust, nowhere near love.
I don’t think I’m going to continue with this series after the complete letdown of this one.
