Three Stories & Ten Poems was published in Paris by the Contact Publishing Co. in 1923. There were 300 copies of the first and only printing. This facsimile is published by permission of the Hemingway Estate. These three stories represent all that remained of Hemingway's early work after the suitcase full of his manuscripts was stolen in the Gare de Lyon. Three Stories & Ten Poems marked the first publication of these 3 stories. "Up in Michigan" was not considered publishable in America until 1938.
