The Jungle Book reminded me of fables. Animals come to life to think about social problems or other aspects the author finds relevant to tell young children. Some of them worked for me, others not so much. Overall, it was an enjoyable read but I didn't left felling anything other than that. Perhaps I need more context to fully understand this novel.
