If you’ve been reading this series, you have most likely been waiting for Erin to realize that Finn is perfect for her. This is a friends to lovers type book with Finn having pined for Erin since they met over 10 years ago. But I don’t believe Erin didn’t reciprocate the feelings, I think she just shut them out. And as this story progresses, it’s more and more obvious that was the case. The reason all of these feeling finally are out in the open is that this story is also a fake fiancé story…one of my favorite tropes!

I will admit, I was a bit annoyed in the beginning with the way it came about that Erin’s ex-husband and new wife (who is also Erin’s ex-best friend) were going to be in a wedding that was coming up at their vineyard. When a maid of honor has to back out, you don’t replace the maid of honor with someone that wasn’t even in the wedding party. Sure, you may have to replace a bridesmaid. But the whole scenario just didn’t make sense and often grated on my nerves.

That’s not to say this isn’t a fun and wonderful story. Finn is amazing and so very patient with Erin. I absolutely adore how he would accept Erin’s apologies without giving her a guilt trip beforehand. Erin had to work on not flying off the handle, though. Erin had a lot of baggage that she didn’t even believe she had, so it could make it rough for any man who wanted to date her. Finn was the first one to finally call her out on her issues. Not in a mean or accusatory way, but to force her to open her eyes and open herself up to what they could have together.

There is a bit of foreshadowing of who the final Bellini sister is going to find her HEA with. I’m hoping I’m right because they both deserve to find love.
