This novel takes place in Spencerville, the small midwestern town that Keith Landry grew up in. Landry, one of the nations top intelligence officers has been forced into early and unwanted retirement. The only two people left in town after 25 years is Landry's former sweetheart, and the high school bully become police chief, become husband to the former sweetheart.
