It has a dark past--one in which a number of humans were killed. A past that caused it to christen itself “Murderbot." But it has only vague memories of the massacre that spawned that title, and it wants to know more. Teaming up with a Research Transport vessel named ART (you don’t want to know what the “A” stands for), Murderbot heads to the mining facility where it went rogue. What it discovers will forever change the way it thinks. Alternate cover of ISBN 9781250186928. Another cover edition can be found here

I decided to give this series another chance, this book was fine and I think I will continue it at some point, probably between other reads as the books are quite short and the audiobooks really help get by it quickly. I do quite like Murderbot and he's a fun character to follow, I think my main problem with this series is that its mostly character based and I like stories with either more plot or a good mix between plot and character stories but I am starting to like it more with this book.
