Tcho Tcho Motherfucker! Or maybe The League (of Albino Penguins.) But definitely not the Mountains of Terror.
It has many problems... It builds up so much to deliver very little of terror. It kept changing the main monster so many times and in the end it was the strange mist.. Meaning that all the description was for nothing.
Speaking of which, the narrator is problematic. Very much so...
It refuses to speak of events, or tries to skip it, but in the end it chooses to make a detailed narrative of it. Second, he was to omniscient for someone that was walking through a unknown city. It felt that the author was just dumping information on the reader. Third, he felt hallow. I never felt his fear, his emotions, he was like a machine recording the events that were happening.
Sadly, if you never read anything from Lovecraft, you will be lost. If you are a fan maybe you will like it.
