This was definitely one of my favorite books of the year. It had a slow start which made me a little worried, but it quickly becomes a super entertaining and insightful read. Going into it I was worried that I’d find the book to get really tedious when he got to sea, but that never ended up being the case. The whole journey was filled with enough action to be engaging without feeling tiresome, and Pi’s narration of the story is touching and often funny.
