Sadly I'm dbf-ing this highly anticipated book by one of my faves... But not because I didn't like this or because it was BAD. I just found these opening chapters to be extremely triggering and can't continue for my own mental health.
In fact, I found this to be so well written, that being in the heroine's head elicited a visceral reaction out of me. And I don't think I'll be able to handle the subject matter.
