You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women—including me—on an ice planet. And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me...

Surprisingly good!
I, obviously, was a little hesitant to read this, but I had to give it a chance. And I’m really glad I did! It was weird and bizarre and funny, but had a lot of heart and the plot was there. I’m off to download the next one.

OVERALL: A fun, wild ride (once you get past the traumatic start) full of bravery, miscommunication, and sexy times between Florida girl Georgie and Vektal, the horned blue-suede hottt alien.
Content warnings: sex trafficking, abduction, rape (on-page), captive/captor, hostage, murder, guns, violence, blood
Short book, lots of world-building as the start of this series. I thought the author did a nice job showing the terror and confusion and desperation of our captive ladies at the start/throughout--that added a lot of tension for the book.
It did feel a little like this book was the setup for the series, with less time focused on our main characters being together/falling in love. I wanted a little more out of the romance.
I thought it was interesting to have multiple alien types--it's clear there's more to this universe, but there's also a sort of caveman feel too?
I wanted more love and emotional development--I know it's fated mates trope, but I'd honestly read more pages if they contained that development!
