Ranger doesn't expect a smart and grounded woman while Tory does not expect Ranger to ...well big and also see her for her which leads to parks pretty quickly. I really enjoyed how there were no pretenses between the two, maybe just a little more angst before they really connected.
When the danger get up close and personal, Ranger isn't going to stop as Tory is his and he will do anything to keep her safe.
