It's not everyday you find yourself in combat with a half-lion, half-human. But when you're the son of a Greek god, it happens. And now my friend Annabeth is missing, a goddess is in chains and only five half-blood heroes can join the quest to defeat the doomsday monster. Oh, and guess what? The Oracle has predicted that not all of us will survive...

The Titan's Curse was an interesting book to read. There was a lot going on, thank you Mr. Riordan.

    Let's get right to it.

This book did follow the formula of "Oh, we have to do this quest with or without permission before the winter or summer solstice so let's get into lots of trouble and meet a bunch of monsters". I wonder what happens during the school year. Sometimes I do get confused when he skips a whole school year where basically nothing happens, then gets into all the action during one week. It's the opposite of Harry Potter where everything happens during the school year and nothing happens during the summer. I think Harry Potter works better in that instance. Confusion abounds for me.

So, wow, the di Angelos. What the fresh hell. I knew from the beginning (well, maybe not the actual beginning, in the first chapter, who they were the children of) but I figured it out really quick (which is strange for me, as I am never one to guess anything correctly).

When Nico opens up the ground to get rid of the skeleton warriors, I knew for sure he was son of Hades. Plot twist!

It was sad to see Bianca go because I wanted to know what was going to become of her, but she has become a plot point that is important in the last two books.

Rachel Elizabeth Dare. I'm still waiting to see what goes on with her.

I'm sad Thalia joined the Hunters, because she's a daughter of Zeus, but like, maybe she can still use her powers? The way that she and Bianca became Hunters was too quick for me. Kind of like instalove for the Hunters instead of there being some more story building.

This one didn't wow me like the first two, which is sad, because I loved the edition of all the new characters and gods. The parts in Washington DC were a little boring to me.

I know there was a lot more in this one, but like. Meh. That's how I felt about it. I think this one confused me a lot and I'm not sure why. I think the AMOUNT of new characters was overwhelming for me. Especially The General and Atlas and lil ole Bessie (he wasn't too confusing though).
