Let Us Prey (Apex Society Capers, #1)

Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

OUT OF PRINT In this world, you're either predator or prey. I come from a long line of pure-blood predators, but when my shift finally happened, I turned out to be prey. A bunny to be exact. A freakin' bunny. The guy I'd been promised to since birth rejected me. My own father has turned his back on me - shipping me off to Apex Academy even though it's practically a death sentence with what I am. Oh, and of course, my ex-fiance and his friends are here at the academy and more than happy to make my life a living h***. But then I met my teachers. Five incredibly gorgeous apex predators, each one more mysterious than the last. And all of them, very much off-limits. There is something dark at Apex Academy - something that's killing off students and teachers alike. As prey, I'm afraid I'm the easiest target, but who can I trust to keep me safe?

The amount of timethe authors had to put in to this world has to be insane. Everything has an ironic fun name that goes with the Pred/Prey world. All a play off of something we use or know right here in 2022. Plus the little puns used as disses or affections towards each other are amazing.

We start with D starting at Apex after the whole ordeal in the prequel. She is struggling to fit in and survive at school. Also in her relationship if you can even call them that (her opinion not me).

The men are broody and also unsure of what to do with D. Shes young, she’s prey, and well her mom is psychotic.

Then at the very end we get two twist one D is more than she seems. Two sweet Nico went and broke the heart of us all.

I really liked seeing Delores’ growth since the last book. She has become more independent and has realized the toxicity in her previous life. The guys are sweet and protective of her. I did not expect the twist at the end, and I’m excited to see where this all goes in the next book
