This was such a phenomenal read, I never had much interest in the Norse myths. I knew them by reference and the loved Marvel Movies. Neil Gaiman was able to retell them so well, I almost believe that these were the original stories. But that is how stories and legends were created. In the oral tradition, these stories were adapted and they changed depending on the person who told them. It's magical to get close to this tradition in book format.
All the stories were amazing!
It was so much fun to read about Loki and Thor, and the many adventures of the gods. The ending was very interesting, the idea of a cycle and restarting. The Gods as pawns in a chess game. I really liked the possible meaning its conveyed and how it can be interpreted, it's up to you as a reader.
A very good introduction to this mythological creatures. Final rating: 5 stars.
