Bite Me

Bite Me

Meljean Brook

Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

After five years, Emma Cooper is returning to Pine Bluffs — and to Sheriff Nathan Forrester. Finally, she’s ready to confess the secret that drove her away. But before she even arrives in town, Emma runs into trouble that threatens everyone she cares for. So she has to decide — stay and fight for the love of a lifetime? Or run away again… PLEASE NOTE: “Bite Me” is an expanded and revised version of “In Sheep’s Clothing”, a short story which was first published in The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance anthology and in the ebook compilation Under Her Skin with Ilona Andrews and Jeaniene Frost. “In Sheep’s Clothing” was around 8,000 words and most of the spicy content was removed for inclusion in the original anthology; so I’ve added the heat back in and made slight revisions to descriptions and dialogue, so it now runs about 10,500 words (which is still a short story, so please don’t think the expansion turned this into a novella or novel!) Content Warnings Mentions of a serial killer who sexually assaults and murders his victims (these murders take place before the events of the book), fear and suspense, werewolf violence and biting, mild body horror/pain during a werewolf’s transformation, explicit consensual sexual content, swearing and cursing.
