This book severely lacked the suspenseful and thrilling nature of a typical James Patterson novel. The story was predictable, bordering on boring, and it took a while to get into it. I enjoyed the development of a couple of characters but ultimately, they failed to emotionally connect with me on a level I would expect. It was well written and eventually did get exciting, but I feel that the ending was rushed, so much squeezed into a few short chapters that could have been expanded upon to create a fuller and more conclusive finale. Overall, this novel was decent but disappointing.
