β€œNever again will I let something from my past haunt me in the future.” gasping wheezing throwing up Well, this was something. The pace is uneven, but as it reaches 40% above, it becomes straightforward. Especially when this book has short chapters which the part I enjoyed the most and I manage to finish this in just one sitting. I truly did not see that coming and my guess was likewise wrong again apparently, but the twist was not that kind of shocking. This book's plot had the potential for an engaging thriller, but its lack of depth kept it from reaching its full potential. While it started strong, it soon lost momentum, feeling more like a slow-burn suspense rather than a true thriller. The characters and narrative lacked substance, and the repetitive storyline made it difficult to stay invested. Unfortunately, the ending felt too unrealistic, leaving a sense of disappointment instead of satisfaction. Nevertheless, I suppose it's still okay because it was a decent way for me to pass the time, and I still plan to read more of this author's novels in the future.
