Numerous celebrities are rumoured to be among the passengers in business class and journalists will be waiting on the ground to greet the plane. Mina is one of a hand-picked team of flight attendants chosen for the landmark journey. She's trying to focus on the task in hand, and not worry about her troubled five-year-old daughter back at home with her husband. Or the cataclysmic problems in her marriage. But the plane has barely taken off when Mina receives a chilling note from an anonymous passenger, someone intent on ensuring the plane never reaches its destination. Someone who needs Mina's assistance and who knows exactly how to make her comply. It's twenty hours to landing. A lot can happen in twenty hours...

Just couldn’t get into this one. The plot felt slow, and I didn’t really understand the point in all the chapters narrated by the passengers. Spoilers now…………I found the whole climate change protest as the reason behind the hijacking to be super underwhelming. And I have no idea how they plan to connect this storyline back to the (ex?)husband and his gambling addiction. Just…it all feels incoherent and I don’t have the patience to sit through a mediocre book for an underwhelming ending. Not sorry.✌

I was really into this book when it first started, I was curious and ready for a huge twist, the big reveal that I would gasp at and have no idea was coming. That is not what I got. The reason for this hostage situation was ridiculous, and it was just not done well. There was also a metaphor about world war two and the gas chambers that was SO NOT NECESSARY and I was completely thrown off and disgusted that the author would even write that and the publishers were like Ya sounds good put that in. Nope, I have read better thrillers, not even good thrillers written better than this book. Sorry fans, this was a no.
