This is the most superb romance book I have read this whole year!!
And this is a year where I have read A LOT of good romance books....
But seriously, Katie is an extreme talent. She is going to take the world by storm. Her writing has voice, partially because Rosie is so reflective of the author, but also because she just writes well. I ate up her writing and cannot wait to read more.
The story was stunning. I could not put it down. I found myself slipping into daydreams about these characters while working or walking home. It was a fabulous subway read, since the story takes place in New York. I felt so immersed. I have not read a book in a while where I wanted to know the ending, but didn't want it to end and kept having to put it down because I was reading too fast in sooooo long. It was gripping, fluffy, sexy, charming, enchanting, velvety, and electrifying all in one.

If you cannot tell, I am obviously a friend and coworker of the author, therefore I am a little biased. But as some of my friends know, I will not hold back when critiquing, and I genuinely have nothing to critique in this book.

Absolutely loved this book. For once it was refreshing to read a book where the transition from enemies to lovers felt natural. It always bothers me when authors go from “I hate your guts” to “you’re the love of my life” in 5 chapters and expects us to believe they hash out every little issue between them in that timeframe.
Rosie and Aiden were both very easy to root for. I think Rosie really captured the essence of what most romance readers like about romance books without being too cheesy. And while we don’t Aiden’s perspective in the book per se, with the excerpts from their book at the end of each chapter so you can see that he’s not as icy as he seems.
4 stars overall. Comes out in December so make sure to take a break from your holiday romances to squeeze this one in.
0Very fun romance. I found Rosie cute at first but her character going on about the samething over and over was tiring. I adored Aiden though because who can resist a book boyfriend with an emotionally damaging past and the baggage to show for it.
