Cruel (Savannah Heirs, #1)

Cruel (Savannah Heirs, #1)

Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

I’ve got a secret. Savannah, Georgia is full of debutantes and greed. The Heirs own this town. They own me, too. I don’t know what I did to ruin what we had. But their kindness turned cruel almost a year ago. I was prepared to leave it all behind and start over at a new school. But Rogue Kelly, the king of the Heirs, ruined that. He doesn’t want me anymore but doesn’t want anyone else to have me either. I know too much to be set free, but not enough to stay. The Heirs aren’t through with me yet. And I crave their cruelty too much to give up now.

I really don’t much have to say in a review for this one. I love the bullying trope, but this one really kind of pushed me the wrong way. Honestly, it felt a bit all over the place to me. Their reasoning for all the cruel things that happened to her was crap and I expected them to at least have to grovel or really apologize.

Scarlett was such a weak doormat heroine that I couldn’t even really make sense of it. As much shit as she talked and for how physically strong she was supposed to be, I don’t get how she let this go on for so long. Even when they orchestrated all this crap for this long, she still wanted them. Still loved Rouge. Girl, just no! They called you trash and literally threw thrash on you. GTFO!

Like I said before, I’m all for bullying book but these characters never redeemed themselves and the plot was also a put unrealistic.

    High School Cruelty
I read this book awhile back and have had a very hard time sitting down to write reviews this year. I really did enjoy it though. When I read this there was no second book in the series and now that I check Amazon book 2 is out! So happy to see that this series continues. Rogue Kelley what a fantastic name Readers beware this is a dark read and is labeled as such. Those that say the Scarlett was pathetic because of how she acted with the guys did not fully comprehend the book. The thing is that Scar was strong. From all the bullying and the hell, they put her through she was a rock. The reasons for why they did what they did was stupid, but in love and protection. This why she forgave them. She knew who they were, she was not going to back down or simply give them up, until the breaking point. That was awesome. I have also started the Cupid series because of this read and it is super cute!
