I gave it about 40 minutes and was not into it. I wasn't paying attention and he really overused the word said.
The premise sounds interesting and I have been meaning to read [b:Old Man's War|51964|Old Man's War|John Scalzi|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1346671475s/51964.jpg|50700] so I think I'll start with that and pick this up as a book later.
