“Hang on to your panties because apparently, I keep losing mine. It's gonna be a sexy ride” Okay! So breaking into my work at night to steal some cash and then running from the cops may not have been my brightest idea. But I needed the money. A girl had to eat. I had a choice. Go to juvie for 18 months or two years at some Prep school for misguided kids. What I did not expect at this prep school, was running into my EX best friend Oliver. Now 6 ft tall, sexy as hell, covered in tattoos and all muscles. Who by the way, literally fucked me over. Oh and his two equally as sexy best friends Talon, full of himself walking sex god with pantie melting smile. And Ben with his shy smile and mysterious vibe. Add on my drop dead gorgeous roommate Charlie, sassy/bubbly personality with a heart of gold. And don't forget to throw in some crazy psycho bitch who wants me dead. Fun, games and mind blowing sex aside, the other shoe always drops. I sure as hell was not ready for it. Will Charlie and the guys be ? Emerald Lake Prep is a Reverse harem series and has a lot of sexual scenes that are meant for 18+ . Please note that all characters involved in sexual activity are all over the age of 18 and consensual. F/F and M/M content. Trigger warnings. Drug and alcohol use. Attempted sexual assault. Miscarriage.

I tried. I gave it three tries and 35% before I threw in the towel. The writing was bad, the plot had more holes than Swiss cheese, and the characters were one dimensional at best. Not to mention this entire book supposedly takes place their junior year of high school. A high school where non-violent offenders are sent instead of juvie yet all characters are supposed to be over 18 but are sentenced as juveniles by the court system. Tell me how that makes any sense whatsoever.

Emmy is an interesting character. I really liked her - she is strong and goes for what she wants. I liked that she and her guys, gal, and friends all talked and dealt with issues. The story is well paced and I liked that the secrets weren’t held in. This is the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be the last. Thankfully, book 2 is already put, because this one ends with a twist.
