Well, this just keeps being weird and full of abuse...

In this volume, Nanjou starts looking for Punpun, after he's been missing for a couple of days and in that process learns a lot about him from his friends and family. Punpun keeps traveling further, with his personality and looks shifting along the way. I do like learning directly how other view Punpun and his behavior, poining out some childhood events that shaped him. The volume ends with a hint of a twist in his fate.

Positives

The photorealistic illustration style is as impressive as ever. I liked the large two-page illustrations a lot.

Negatives

The story is still a bit chaotic and without a clear direction for my taste, but I guess that's an honest reflection of growing up and finding yourself.

Audience

This series is for an adult audience who wants to again experience the challenges and emotions of youth.

Rating

I give this volume 4/5 stars, the story was engaging and easy to read and a few panels really stood out to me when it comes to the non-verbal communication of emotions in the story.
