My gift has always felt more like a curse. Standing up and speaking the truth when nobody wants to hear it is terrifying. But the truth doesn’t erase the horrors I’ve seen It doesn’t silence the whispers, Or blind me to the fingers pointed my way. Doing the right thing never brought me anything but trouble So finding myself held captive by a sexy-as-sin duo who loathe me on sight doesn’t come as a shock. What does surprise me is how quickly my anger for them burns out, leaving a ferocious need in its place. A need to belong, to be seen, to be loved. But when every wall I built begins to crumble Exposing my dark and sordid past Will there be anyone left standing to pull me from the wreckage? Authors note: The Harsh Bite is a ménage romance intended for 18+ readers. Trigger warning: As with most of my books, The Harsh Bite contains some scenes that readers may find upsetting, so please proceed with caution.

I loved Astrid. She has been through a lot, but she is resilient and fierce. The story picks up right where book 1 ends, but follows Astrid, Jagger, and Slade. I liked that we also get Salem and get to know more about the other guys of Apex. There is a connected story arch that flows through the series which is intriguing. While I loved Astrid, I struggle with Slade and Jagger. I liked them at times, but I felt like they crossed lines a little too far, and acted like she should be okay with it, especially Slade. I feel like they should have groveled a lot, but it seemed like they used s£x like their attraction should make it all better. Overall, I am enjoying this series. And I will be checking out book 3.
