While Messages from the Dead is a companion to the Gravekeeper series it can still be read on its own. It canonically takes place after the end of the second book, The Ravenous Dead, and contains minimal spoilers. You should be able to enjoy it even if you haven't started the Gravekeeper series yet.

Loved this short bonus story from the Gravekeeper world! This was a quick read and a wonderful view into the world of Keira and Zoe that I really enjoyed. We also got to meet a new character who trades in secrets and she was super fun. I hope we see more of her in the series!
