This book is one of my all time favourite young adult books. I don't use this term loosely because it means a lot to me to say that something is, in fact, one of my all time favourite books. But this book well and truly beat my expectations, wiped the floor with them and then took them for a ride on a vigorous roller coaster! I think it was an amazing portrayal of growing up, enjoying your youth, and how falling in love can happen at any point in life; whether you expect it, or want it, or not. It gives off a powerful vibe that life is extremely important and you should lead it the way that you want to; not the way in which society believes that you should - the characters both bend the 'norms' of being a teenager and change what it means to be a teen in the 21st century, taking the rules and bending them into the shape that they want them to be.

The characters are absolutely wonderful, and they are certainly the type of characters that I love reading about in any novel; but they fit the storyline of this absolutely perfectly and never seem out of place. The main male character was my favourite character; I really gelled with him and loved in particular how swoon worthy he was.

The plot is enthralling and gripping right from the very start - there was never a dull moment or a place whereby I wanted to skip forward a few pages. I loved each and every sentence; they all added so much to the storyline and there weren't any single plot twists that felt pointless or drawn out to make the book seem more dramatic or intense. The intensity was built into the novel beautifully and I enjoyed the way the plot built, the way the characters developed and the way the story ended up finishing. The plot also explores a few issues in society that are not particularly discussed in fiction and it was so nice to be able to read about them and see people interacting with these particular issues. I shan't go into detail about what they are, however, as I think that they are such wonderful plot additions! But it added so, so much to the novel and gave it such an incredible depth.

It was an amazing book and I would recommend that all of you read it! It's an amazingly wonderful book, with brilliant characters, a diverse storyline, an interesting bunch of twists and turns and the most adorable ships.
I would whole heartedly recommend this to any fan of the YA/NA genre - and I think you're missing out massively if you don't.

This will definitely be on my 'to be re-read' list for later in life; because I love it just that much!
