Eve Brown is a certified hot mess. No matter how hard she strives to do right, her life always goes horribly wrong—so she’s given up trying. But when her personal brand of chaos ruins an expensive wedding (someone had to liberate those poor doves), her parents draw the line. It's time for Eve to grow up and prove herself—even though she's not entirely sure how… Jacob Wayne is in control. Always. The bed and breakfast owner’s on a mission to dominate the hospitality industry—and he expects nothing less than perfection. So when a purple-haired tornado of a woman turns up out of the blue to interview for his open chef position, he tells her the brutal truth: not a chance in hell. Then she hits him with her car—supposedly by accident. Yeah, right. Now his arm is broken, his B&B is understaffed, and the dangerously unpredictable Eve is fluttering around, trying to help. Before long, she’s infiltrated his work, his kitchen—and his spare bedroom. Jacob hates everything about it. Or rather, he should. Sunny, chaotic Eve is his natural-born nemesis, but the longer these two enemies spend in close quarters, the more their animosity turns into something else. Like Eve, the heat between them is impossible to ignore—and it’s melting Jacob’s frosty exterior.

OVERALL: Eve is struggling to figure out her life and try out this 'adulting' thing, and this is her romance with stiff autistic Jacob as they work together in a B&B. Cute and steamy with great rep and funny moments, would recommend! (workplace romance, opposites attract)
Content warnings: explicit sex scenes, car accident

A delightful conclusion to the Brown Sisters trilogy, we follow Eve and Jacob. Free-spirited Eve sticks around to help out at stickler Jacob's Bed and Breakfast after she hits him with her car! As she gains some self confidence, the two are falling in love and enjoying steamy moments together.
I really enjoyed the banter but did sort of think there wasn't quite enough emotional development between them, it felt like their relationship was built on the physical aspects. And also I wanted more from Eve as she grew as a person too (she definitely was immature and needed a boost at the start; and she never really acknowledged her privilege...)
Plus the 3rd act drama moment was quite cheesy and melodramatic.

Interesting and unique characters, especially with both being on the autism spectrum. I enjoyed the character development!! Both characters were cute in their flaws and it was fun to get to know them.

    - Slightly overemphasized attraction in the beginning when they’re just talking, to the point that it becomes tiring to read about each of their reactions to every sentence exchanged in the conversation. Like please, space out the hyper focus on a characters plump lips and tshirt riding up. Don’t emphasize attraction at the expense of a flowing convo!!

    - Slightly dumb plot points (like the random duck pond scene) whose functions were very transparent (ie get heroine to fall into pond and hero rescues her)

+++The REALLY good parts were the smut scenes! Like, really good! It was cool that Jacob had specific preferences and seeing those revealed and that Eve thought she was too intense, because it only made the scenes that much more interesting and sexy! I was really impressed.

This is no fault of the author but I’m beginning to realize all romance novel side characters have the same personality (ie Jacobs friends and his friends twin sisters). They’re always such light hearted zany devices who can always break the ice and scheme to get their friend to unblock their journey to love. in this case, the twin sisters were annoying and unnecessary in my opinion!
