One surprise inheritance, two best friends (now bitter exes), and three months to prove he loves her, forever and always, in this swoony second-chance romance for fans of Alexandria Bellefleur and Ashley Herring Blake. Hannah Rosenstein should be happy: after a lonely childhood of traipsing all over the world, she finally has a home as the co-owner of destination inn Carrigan’s All Year. But her thoughts keep coming back to Levi "Blue" Matthews: her first love, worst heartbreak, and now, thanks to her great-aunt’s meddling will, absentee business partner. When Levi left Carrigan's, he had good intentions. As the queer son of the inn's cook and groundskeeper, he never quite fit in their small town and desperately wanted to prove himself. Now that he’s a celebrity chef, he's ready to come home and make amends. Only his return goes nothing like he planned: his family's angry with him, his best friend is dating his nemesis, and Hannah just wants him to leave. Again. Levi sees his chance when a VIP bride agrees to book Carrigan’s—if he’s the chef. He'll happily cook for the wedding, and in exchange, Hannah will give him five dates to win her back. Only Hannah doesn’t trust this new Levi, and Levi’s coming to realize Hannah’s grown too. But if they find the courage to learn from the past . . . they just might discover the love of your life is worth waiting for.

Very cute story! It was nice to see Levi's demisexuality so openly talked about and the acknowledgement that this was only his experience. Hannah is a loveable character and the book explores her anxiety well, too. I can't wait to see what this universe has in store for Tara and will be keeping my fingers crossed for a Cole story, too.

    Rep: Anxiety, Demi-sexuality, Sapphic(Supporting characters)

This was a queer good time. It was rom-comy, and fun, and I loved the shenanigans.

    Characters-10

Hannah and Levi were great. I really related to both of them on multiple levels. I found them very fun, and they both had important aspects to their characters like anxiety and Demi-sexuality.

    Atmosphere- 10

I loved the Carrigan farm and the inn, along with the surrounding area. I'm not from the area, but have been to upstate New York, and this book really hit the vibes. I loved learning about the area around Carrigan's and the town.

    Writing-10

I loved the writing in this book. I thought the writing style worked perfectly for this style of book. There were some fun shenanigans, and funny one -liners that really brought this book home for me. There were also some heartwarming and important scenes dosccused in this book.

    Plot-10

Oh how I loved this plot. Hannah and Levi had a great story to follow, and I loved it. This was a multi-layered story, and I loved all layers of it.

    Intrigue-9

I was interested in this story. There were moments were I was curious as to how the story was going to go, and I both didn't want the story to end, and wanted to see how the story was going to wrap-up.

    Logic-9

This was a logical story. I am curious about some of the logic of Cass's background, but I'm reading this series kind of backwards, so maybe more gets explained in book 1.

    Enojyment-9

This book made me happy, and it was a great time. I found it charming, and I loved all the characters in the book.
