The longer I think about this book the more angry I get at it. Definitely my least favorite Lisa Kleypas book I've read to date...

First - this book is 11 years old so I understand this is more a product of it's time than anything. But the way this book discussed, and pigeonholed gender was so frustrating. Literally everything was gendered. And it just the heck out of me.

Second, the cheating. It's not even physical cheating as much as emotional, but it bothered me. The hero treats his girlfriend with such disrespect behind her back. And then she's given an unnecessary villain scene to like justify it. Not a fan...

This book just didn't do it for me. I didn't buy into the romance and there were just too many little things that bothered me. Definitely one to skip if you're looking for romances to add to your holiday TBR.
