Two villains, one girl, and a deadly battle for happily ever after. Evangeline Fox ventured to the Magnificent North in search of her happy ending, and it seems as if she has it. She’s married to a handsome prince and lives in a legendary castle. But Evangeline has no idea of the devastating price she’s paid for this fairytale. She doesn’t know what she has lost, and her husband is determined to make sure she never finds out . . . but first he must kill Jacks, the Prince of Hearts. Blood will be shed, hearts will be stolen, and true love will be put to the test in A Curse for True Love, the breathlessly anticipated conclusion to the Once Upon A Broken Heart trilogy.

3.5 star - Definitely think this should’ve been split into two books, this being the finale felt undone in a lot of ways. Lots of small plot holes, and felt a bit rushed in tying loose ends. The series could’ve benefitted from expanding on the lore a bit more.. still a fan though
What the actual… this was such a disappointment. And believe me, I wanted it to be good. Okay here are my main points that sum everything up:
Everything was so convenient!
Jacks was not even jacks
The apples?
What a waste on the Valors
Apollo chapters were not it
Again, I miss the old Jacks
The kiss didn’t kill her with 0 explanation just supposed to believe ✨true love ✨ or something???
I just feel like this whole book was a cop out, and so unfortunate because I really enjoyed the first two.
