This book was so good! I love her Chicagoland Vampire series so I picked this series up. The first book was good. Well written and interesting premise and characters. But I wasn't blown away. However this book was fantastic.
New Orleans after a rip in the veil let through demons and other beings. The city is mostly uninhabited except for a prison full of supernatural beings, the containment that keeps them in, the citizens who refused to leave, and a group of radicals who is going to kill them all to save the big easy.
Supernatural creatures a heroine who is afraid of what she's becoming, her friends, a hot bounty hunter, and assorted family.
I cannot wait for the next book and anything else she decided to write.
