Love and Lists is the first book in the Chocolate Lovers spinoff - Chocoholics: The foul-mouthed offspring tell their stories. Twenty-five-year-old Gavin Ellis has always had the love and support of his family ever since he was a little boy and couldn't stop talking about his penis. He's also always had their unsolicited advice and uncanny knack of embarrassing him at all costs. Now that he's an adult and trying to convince the love of his life to love him back, things haven't changed very much from when he was younger. When Gavin's best friend Tyler suggests he make a to-do list of items that will ensure he wins the girl, Gavin is one-hundred-percent on board: after a few six packs. After puking in the shrubs, a bad experience with Viagra, a Sex-Ed course gone wrong, and a slew of other mishaps courtesy of his family and friends, Gavin is pretty sure this list will be the death of him. Sometimes, trying to make someone love you with a list isn't always the best idea. Especially when "Show her your penis" is the first "to-do" item...

I love Tara Sivec, I love her books, characters, plots and specially I love her fun as hell dialogues. I literally cry while I'm reading her books but is because I can't stop laughing.
I read the first two books in the Chocolate lovers series and my mom thought that I was going insane and one of my teachers at college ask me if everything was ok because my face turned red while I was trying to not fall at the floor laughing like a psycho. I tried my best every time and I failed miserably each one of those.
These new adult novels will make your day. The characters are real people with normal lives and problems. They have to pay their bills and fight against cellulitis, they are real guys with the peculiar families and messed up lives and that's why you're going to love these books.

Ok so now let's jump into the characters!
When I read Claire's story last year, I was totally in love with Gavin, her little son, he never stopped talking, always had a lot of questions and this amazing ability of hitting Carter right in the ba... sensitive sides. He was the reason why Claire changed in the first place, he made her an awesome mother and a better human being. He was one of the reason why I couldn't stop laughing with those books. He always had something to say and most of time it was something embarrassing about Claire in front of everyone or Carter. So I was a huge fan of Gavin and now that I read this one I'm in love with him...maybe I little weird since I'm in love with his father too, but well, what can I say.
He is working in her mother's company, Seductions and Snacks, he is a loyal friend, responsible worker, loving son and of course he is smoking hot. So why doesn't he have a girlfriend? He has been in love with his best friend since he was a child. Charlotte, Jim and Liz daughter, his parent's best friends, so just starting from that point things are a little complicated. But well, love turns us into stupid beings with silly behaviors and that's exactly what happened to Gavin. That and his best friend Tyler.
Tyler made this list for him, all that he has to do is to follow all the steps and Charlotte will fall in his arms foreva. But since Tyler is a messed mess he is not that sure.
Tyler was definitely one of my favorites characters, he was this sassy, hilarious, totally crazy guy with all those stupid ideas that always made me laugh. He had this huge crush on Claire and he was always thinking in ways to get her, and we all know how is Claire, she always explodes when Tyler was close and that was just so freaking funny.
Obviously we also get to see how Claire's squad lives turned to be and gratefully they aren't just the parents or the crazy family, they are still their funny and hilarious selves and even steal the show sometimes. And for me that was just perfect. I was expecting them to be just the background as in others books but of course Tara Sivec has to do it in her own funny and sassy passy way and it turned out perfect.
We also have Ava and Molly, Charlotte's sisters and other side characters that made the book as hilarious as it is, and made the whole plot worked perfectly.
I don't want to talk about Charlotte because that would only spoil you the book, but trust me, she is worth it.
Tara Sivec is amazing and has become one of my favorite authors. Her writing style is fun, light and fast, once you get into it, you won't be able to put it down. I totally adore these books and I love her. I will definitely look for more of her books.
