I actually really enjoyed this. I feel like I would have liked it a little more if I hadn't read The Winner's Trilogy two years ago and felt a little closer to the characters. Like I don't remember what happened to Arin's parents, so this might have struck a little closer to home if I remembered. But beside that, I just actually really liked the tale his mother told him??
