Garrett is Margot's brother's best friend. He has always tried to be there for her when she needed him. Margot has gone through a bad breakup and wants to become a firefighter. She asks Garrett if she will sign the paperwork for her to start training, so then her brother will agree to let her do it. Then strange things start happening that scare Margot and Garrett moves her in with him. They think her ex is up to no good, but he's doing what he can to protect her. The more time that that they spend together, the more attracted they become. They end up together, then Margot starts getting sick. She thinks that she just has food poisoning, but Garrett suspects something else. When the test is positive, they have decisions to make. They realize that they have to tell her brother, no matter the consequences. These characters are really cute and this is a fun, quick read!
