This was so much fun. I love being dropped into a story with no where to go.
You know how when you start a movie or book and there is usually a little bit of time for the "hook" to get your attention, some action happens, then there is an explanation? Sometimes the "explanation" part is as simple as a quick sentence saying who she is and who he is and why there's a problem, and sometimes it's pages of recap from previous installments.
For me, Paper Girls was exciting and page-turning, but the whole Volume 1 was all hook and no explanation. It's taking too long, and while I'm intrigued and want to continue and have the next few volumes already from the library, I'm frustrated to be taking so long to get to any explanation.
