I will list the first book in the series and the upcoming book. I'm not including series from romances where it's hard to tell if the books are standalone or not (for my health🙃).

(I'm already questioning my sanity on how I'm going to maintain this, I wish we could make collaborative lists on here 😭)

A mix of different books that all centre around the “dark academia” genre ✨

These books have lgbt+ representation in them even if sometimes it's not the main focus or the leading couple. It's important to me to have a list that has variety and of not just stories about love but also those exploring gender identity and about those who don't experience love the same way like asexuals and aromatics. So far thare's a lot of sapphic books as well as quite a few books w/transgender mc's.

Not everyone can be the hero, and that's okay.

books by V.E. Schwab that blurr the lines between heroes and villains, humans and monsters and question what it means to be each

Upcoming sequels to beloved fantasy and romance series coming out this year!

a non comprehensive list of books you should keep an eye on in 2026

Trilogies. Trilogies! A list full of trilogies. This has a collection of titles I'm interested in and some I've simply come across. To save you the trouble, I made sure to put all books in a trilogy in this list. Enjoy! 💐
