Centuries ago, the moon Anarres was settled by utopian anarchists who left the Earthlike planet Urras in search of a better world, a new beginning. Now a brilliant physicist, Shevek, determines to reunite the two civilizations that have been separated by hatred since long before he was born. The Dispossessed is a penetrating examination of society and humanity -- and one man's brave undertaking to question the unquestionable and ignite the fires of change.

This was great! I don't read much sci-fi/utopian novels, but it was super interesting to read about the anarchist society on the moon. Even ignoring the plot, I would've been happy reading about the mechanisms of the society-- how power is distributed, how people are motivated if not by money, how "bad behavior" gets "punished", etc.

That interesting world, paired with the lovely descriptions of land, nature, structures, paired with the interesting motivations of the hero, make for a 4 star novel!
