Well, do I have the list for you! Brought to you by the fine, very sad, folks of Pagebound! These books have been frequently suggested or upvoted in PB club posts about sad books! Suggestions in any genre, and extra tissues, are welcome!

Tier 1 from the disturbing novels iceberg. Iceberg was created in response to the disturbing movie iceberg. These are the 'beginner' books with difficult themes and some gore.

I asked for recommendations from Pagebound users for a roadtrip with my wife @nevvy as we move to Maine! These were most of those recommendations as well as some that me and my wife have found that were shorter and interesting. *note: not all may be short but since people were kind enough to offer recommendations id like to just include them all

Historical Fiction books that are actually interesting! They’ll keep you entertained and you’ll actually learn something!

A lot of different genres, a book for everyone but has one thing in common: it is spice free

I love a good historical fiction novel, and sometimes the ones based on a real event, person, or disaster really bring out those human emotions we deserve to simmer in for a bit. From heartache and heroism to life and loss, these novels take the reader on a journey and lead them through all sorts of emotions along the way. More novels will be added to this list as I read them, and I am always on the look out for more historical fiction recommendations.

All of these books I got assigned to read between elementary, middle, and high school and they have changed and wrecked me for the better.
