So I LOVE the show Cold Case (ilysm Lilly Rush/Scotty Valens). Cold case mystery/thrillers live in that unsettling space where justice failed the first time, and the world moved on as if the truth didn’t matter. True thrillers that you can't put down and keep you heart racing.

I was falling OUT of love with thrillers until I found a niche that sang to my black millennial heart. These 5-star, adrenaline-inducing thrillers feel like they're written FOR women (usually by women). They enshrine or expose some aspect of the fem-experience and either champion or blatantly fail at modern feminism.
