This was a very solid holiday family drama, exactly what I expect from Sarah Morgan.
I will say if you're starting this book and unsure about it, at least read until the second chapter. The first chapter is from the mom's POV and she has the biggest character growth throughout the book but in chapter 1 she is almost unbearable to read. It was the necessary place to start the book but also probably the riskiest.
The Christmas vibes (as always with Morgan's books) were so SO good! I really enjoyed getting to see the main family and the family they go to visit blossom during the book and getting into deep family mysteries and learning along with the characters that everybody makes mistakes but it's not too late to change yourself and change your future, no matter your past.
I will continue to pick up from Sarah in the future, putting one of these on my list every year for Christmas!
