Joy moved across the country to take a job as the secretary to the mayor of Troping. 0Pretty tame and sweet in comparison to the normal book by this author. North, the mayor, lures Joy to town because he instantly falls for her when he sees her and wants to marry her. He proposes a marriage of convenience but she quickly realizes he wants it to be more real than she thought.
